The NFL trade deadline is a little under a month away http://www.sanfrancisco49ersteamonline.com/deforest-buckner-jersey , and if it is anything like last year, things might get interesting. In 2017, in the days leading up to the deadline, most notably we saw the San Francisco 49ers acquired Jimmy Garoppolo. However, we also saw trades involving running back Jay Ajayi, wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, offensive tackle Duane Brown, and defensive tackle Marcell Dareus. It was a busy October! There are not many trade rumors floating around right now, particularly with Le’Veon Bell reportedly re-joining the Pittsburgh Steelers in the coming weeks. However, there is always room for posing trade hypotheticals. Which brings us to Pro Football Focus. They put together a look at one trade for each team they would like to see at this point in the season. Every team gets at least one mention, and plenty get a second or third based on the deals getting done. The 49ers showed up twice in this thought exercise. The first was a reasonable one. PFF suggested a deal sending wide receiver Pierre Gar莽on to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a fourth round pick. I’d be surprised if the 49ers could get that much for Gar莽on, but it makes sense for the Cowboys to try and pursue some receiver help. The second deal was a little less ... something.Ummm, right.I realize there are 49ers fans that would like to see the team acquire RG3. He does have history with Kyle Shanahan. Things ended poorly for all parties involved, but Shanahan has been complimentary this year when asked about RG3.That being said, I don’t see RG3 as much in the way of an upgrade. There is the potential that he once had, which still entices fans. But with the 49ers making it clear they will remain patient in this rebuilding process, I’d much rather they just see what Beathard can do the remaining 12 weeks of the season. He showed some signs against the Chargers, and now gets a step-up in competition against a better Cardinals defense. And even if the 49ers decide they want to consider a QB upgrade over Beathard, they have some time over the next month to see their current QB face some unique defensive challenges. I’m comfortable seeing where Beathard can go with that.Final score, highlights, news from 49ers-Lions 49ers-Lions final scoreIt wasn’t pretty, but the 49ers held off the Detroit Lions by a final score of 30-27. The offense slowed in the fourth quarter, and Matthew Stafford and company turned in a pair of touchdowns to cut the lead to a field goal. Jimmy Garoppolo threw an interception late in the game, but a defensive holding penalty brought it back. The 49ers eventually punted, but the defense was able to lock down the Lions on the final drive. The 49ers are now 1-1.4th quarter score updateThe 49ers add a touchdown to the score in the third quarter, and a subsequent field goal has them leading 30-13. On the touchdown, Matt Breida ran it in 66 yards, keyed by great blocking from Pierre Gar莽on. Breida effectively drafted behind him on the back half of this run. Breida has a career high 138 rushing yards with the touchdown Womens Alfred Morris Jersey , and 21 receiving yards.49ers score updateThe Lions managed a field goal to close out the first half, but the 49ers responded in serious fashion to open the third quarter. D.J. Reed ran a kickoff return back 101 yards, and while a facemask penalty brought back the touchdown, it still left the 49ers set up with a 1st and 10 at the Lions 26. A few plays later, Jimmy Garoppolo connected with Garrett Celek for a touchdown. The 49ers now lead 20-10.49ers score updateThe 49ers forced a turnover, recovering a Matthew Stafford fumble. They once again struggled in the red zone and settled for a Robbie Gould field goal to take a 13-7 lead. Gould set the franchise record for consecutive made field goals. Here’s a look at the fumble and recovery.49ers score updateThe 49ers finally get a red zone touchdown and take a 10-7 lead! Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne lined up in the backfield and went out into the flat, where he was wide open. The touchdown was set up by a nice shovel pass that got the 49ers into a goal to go situation.Lions score updateThe Lions have taken a 7-3 lead on an impressive Kenny Golladay catch and run for a touchdown. He made a nice spin move as he was heading out of bounds, and got the ball across the pylon. Golladay got wide open after Ahkello Witherspoon blew his coverage assignment. He got caught looking in at the line and Golladay blew past him. 49ers score updateThe 49ers took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter on a Robbie Gould field goal. The score was set up by Dante Pettis hauling in a 35-yard pass from Jimmy Garoppolo. The 49ers struggled once again in the red zone, but they managed three points. The 44-yard field goal was Gould’s 27th straight successful attempt. It tied Phil Dawson’s franchise record, set in 2013.Team captainsStarting lineupMike Person is working with the first team offensive line in pre-game warmups. This would suggest he will start at right guard after being questionable on the final injury report.InactivesThe 49ers and Lions released their inactives, and the big news is that edge rusher Ezekiel Ansah is inactive. He suffered a shoulder injury last week, but early Sunday, Ansah was expected to play. He’s out, and that’s huge for the 49ers. Meanwhile, the 49ers have Mike Person active, which means he likely will start at right guard over Najee Toran. Here’s the full list of inactives for both teams.49ers inactives: LB Malcolm Smith, OL Erik Magnuson, DL Jullian Taylor, OL Shon Coleman, WR Marquise Goodwin, OG Joshua Garnett, OL Matt TobinLions inactives: DE Ziggy Ansah, G T.J. Lang, RB Ameer Abdullah, OL Jamil Demby, OL Andrew Donnal, TE Hakeem Valles, WR Brandon Powell49ers-Lions previewThe San Francisco 49ers open up their first home season game of 2018 in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions. After their Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings Womens Marquise Goodwin Jersey , it’s all the more crucial to secure a win and prevent an 0-2 start. This will be an afternoon game kicking off at 1:05 P.M.The game will air on Fox and you can see who gets it by looking at our broadcast map. Thom Brennaman and Chris Spielman will be in the booth, while Shannon Spake will be on the sideline. The 49ers had a Minnesota Vikings loss that could have been a win had the offense executed on some critical plays. Compared to last year’s Week 1 outing against the Carolina Panthers, there was loads of improvement through the entire game, but the 49ers still had several sloppy moments they look to correct heading into this game. Things won’t be easy — both right guards Joshua Garnett and Mike Person are not likely to play and in their place is UDFA rookie Najee Toran. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is also out which gives the starting nod to rookie Dante Pettis. Rookie wide receiver Richie James is also expected to don a uniform for game day. The Detroit Lions are coming into 2018 with first-year head coach Matt Patricia. Patricia served a number of years on the New England Patriots, coaching on both sides of the ball before becoming defensive coordinator in 2012. The Lions had an awful, awful showing for their first game. Coming onto Monday Night Football, they started strong with a pick-six early in the game, against New York Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. However, as the game went on, offensive tells from the Lions led to the Jets laying 31 points on them. For Week 2, the Lions will be without starting right guard T.J. Lang. Defensive end Ezekiel Ansah is a game-time decision. Running back LeGarrette Blount was downgraded as the week went on to questionable and may be held back during the game due to a shoulder injury. The 49ers will be without wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (quad) and guards Joshua Garnett (toe) and Mike Person (foot). Malcolm Smith (hamstring) also has not practiced in the week leading up to the Lions and is listed as questionable.
