Packers DL Muhammad Wilkerson carted off with ankle injury Packers defensive

lineman Muhammad Wilkerson left Sunday’s game on a cart with an ankle injury after he was caught up in a pile attempting to make a tackle.Wilkerson’s injury came on a second quarter run and appeared to have been caused at least in part by teammate Kentrell Brice. With Wilkerson trailing on the play Green Bay Packers Hats , Brice came in hard for a tackle and in the course of attempting to make the play hit Wilkerson’s leg.Wilkerson appeared to be in considerable pain on the field, slamming his fists onto the cart in frustration before covering his face with his hands as the cart left the field.The Packers confirmed Wilkerson would miss the rest of the game shortly before play resumed for the second half.Fox’s Pam Oliver reported at the start of the second half that Wilkerson was being taken to the hospital by ambulance for further examination.An eight-year veteran, Wilkerson signed with the Packers this spring on a one-year deal. He had two tackles through the Packers’ first two games.Rotational snaps will fall to Dean Lowry and Montravius Adams in Wilkerson’s absence. The good news for Packers wide receiver Geronimo Allison is that he’s out of the concussion protocol.The bad news is that he’s still out of practice. Head coach Mike McCarthy said that Allison will be doing rehab work during Thursday’s practice because of a hamstring injury that was also an issue while he was dealing with his concussion.Allison, who missed last Sunday’s loss to the Lions, will be joined in the rehab group by wide receiver Randall Cobb.
