WR Cooper Kupp has been a tremendous weapon for the Los Angeles Rams and QB Jared Goff. In his second season, the Eastern Washington product has been a reliable target and a security blanket for Goff, but the Rams are going to have to fill that role with other players for the remainder of 2018.Kupp’s absence will leave a large void in the Rams offense, but it’s not the end of the world by any stretch of the imagination. Kupp will be missed, that much is certain. But the Rams have some options at their disposal to keep Goff and the offense on track.Josh Reynolds stepped up into Kupp’s role when the latter missed some time earlier this season with an MCL sprain. He had some moderate success, but still left a lot to be desired in terms of consistency and chemistry with Goff. Also, I would expect the TEs to continue to get more looks. Both Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett have played a larger role the past two games and that role will likely only continue to grow with one of Goff’s favorite targets out. With recovery typically taking 8-12 months, Kupp will likely miss most of the offseason program, but could feasibly be ready for week 1 of the 2019 season.(UPDATED at 2:22pm ET)Rams Head Coach Sean McVay confirmed at media availability that Kupp has torn his ACL and will miss the rest of the season.
