Of course, this team never ceases to entertain, so they scored nine runs of their own despite entering the day with the worst team slugging percentage in all of baseball. Tigers win, 9-7.Surprisingly, this game was not very exciting for the first five innings, so let’s start there. Tyson Ross got the first eight batters out before allowing a single to Ryan Cordell in the third inning, but didn’t get into any legitimate trouble until the fifth inning, when he allowed one run after back-to-back-to-back singles from Tim Anderson, Wellington Castillo http://www.indiansfanproshop.com/authentic-b.j.-upton-jersey , and Yolmer Sanchez.Ivan Nova, meanwhile, found himself in jam after jam early in this game. The sixth inning looked like it would be an easy inning for Tyson Ross: after all, he got two quick outs by striking out Yoan Moncada and making Jose Abreu fly out. Unfortunately for Ross, a Niko Goodrum error at first base extended the inning, and former top prospect Eloy Jimenez promptly proceeded to knock his third career major league home run to give the White Sox a 3-2 lead. From there, Niko Goodrum knocked yet another double (advancing Cabrera to third), Jeimer Candelario was intentionally walked by Herrera, and Peterson hit into a force out that scored another run to give the Tigers a 7-5 lead. Peterson stole second base shortly after for his first career stolen base, but Herrera got Gordon Beckham out to end the inning immediately afterward. Then it was the White Sox turn. They fought back once again thanks to a Yonder Alonso double and a monster home run from Welington Castillo off of Victor Alc谩ntara— shout out to Grayson Greiner for calling for that slider. Alc谩ntara proceeded to load the bases before he was relieved by Drew VerHagen Carlos Carrasco Jersey , who struck out Yoan Moncada in a crucial situation after Moncada worked a full count. Nevertheless, after the top of the eighth inning, the game was knotted up 7-7.But of course (noticing a pattern?), the Tigers fought back again in the bottom half of the inning! Carson Fulmer entered the game for the White Sox, and Grayson Greiner led off the inning with a single (his third hit of the game), and then JaCoby Jones was hit by a pitch for the third time in two days.
