"The Philadelphia Eagles signed former Alliance of American Football all-time leading receiver Charles Johnson earlier this month. In order to get to know more about Johnson Womens Nigel Bradham Jersey , who was once thought to be a potential breakout player, I thought it’d benefit BGN readers to get a Vikings perspective on him. Minnesota is the only team Johnson has actually played regular season games for in the NFL, so I reached out to Christopher Gates (@Gates_DN) of Daily Norseman. Here’s what he had to say about Johnson.1) Can you sum up Charles Johnson’s Vikings career? It seemed like there was excitement about him once upon a time. There was a time when Charles Johnson appeared to have a really bright future in Minnesota. He showed some solid chemistry with Teddy Bridgewater at the end of the 2014 season, and wound up being the Vikings’ third-leading receiver despite only starting in six games. Then, thanks in large part to the emergence of Stefon Diggs (in 2015) and Adam Thielen (in 2016), he was largely forgotten, as he caught just 29 passes over the next two seasons combined after catching 31 in that 2014 season. He fell down the depth chart pretty quickly, and to be honest I’m not totally sure why. He still appears to have pretty good hands and decent speed, but it just wound up not working out in Minnesota.2) What are his strengths? His hands are probably his biggest strength. I don’t remember him having a lot of issues with drops during his time with the Vikings. He’s also a pretty solid route runner. I’m not sure if he’s an elite route runner Brandon Brooks Jersey , but I’d definitely say he’s above average.3) What are his weaknesses? For a guy his size, he has a surprising amount of difficulty with press coverage. I didn’t get to see enough of his AAF games to be able to tell you if he still has an issue with it, but it was something he had difficulty with when he was with the Vikings.4) Johnson had success in the AAF. Based on what you know about him from his Vikings tenure, do you think there’s still hope for this 30-year-old’s NFL career? I don’t think he’s going to be topping any team’s receiving depth chart or anything, but there’s really no reason that he couldn’t be a solid option for the Eagles as a #3 or #4 guy. He was also a pretty decent special teamer when he was with the Vikings, so that could potentially enhance his chances of winning a role with the Eagles.5) Anything to know about him off the field? He didn’t have anything off the field to worry about with the Vikings that I can recall. He’s a pretty decent guy from everything I remember about him....BONUS: Check out this Johnson interview with Chris McPherson of PhiladelphiaEagles.com:DOUBLE BONUS: The Eagles gave Johnson a small (but noteworthy) signing bonus:SPIDER GRAPH AND HIGHLIGHTS: The Eagles had a big win over the Giants to kick off Week 6, which meant a whole lot of time on Sunday to watch former Philadelphia players with their new teams. As per usual, the Bills came up short of beating the Texans, but LeSean McCoy had a good day with 16 carries for 74 yards http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-malik-jackson-jersey , and three receptions for an additional 21 yards. There’s been no updates on the Eagles trying to get McCoy back via trade, but at least on the field, the rusher is still productive. Here’s how some other former Eagles performed in Week 6:D-Jax misses (potential) game-winning catchThe Buccaneers were thissssss close to pulling off a late-game win over the Atlanta Falcons, but wide receiver DeSean Jackson couldn’t make the catch on what was a wild final play from Tampa Bay. He was obviously frustrated following the play, and nearly walked right into the locker room before saying good game to at least one Falcon before heading into the tunnel. The Bucs ended up losing 29-34 to an absolutely decimated Atlanta team, and fall to 2-3 so far on the season.Jackson didn’t make the initial catch, but it seems he gave up on the play a little too early, with reports later coming in that he could have still picked up the ball and tried for the score. The former Eagle wide out finished the day with four catches for 77 yard, getting him just over 500 receiving yards on the season and three touchdowns.Additionally for Tampa Bay Womens Timmy Jernigan Jersey , Beau Allen was back from a foot injury and recorded one tackle, and Vinny Curry had three total tackles against Atlanta, including a stuff.Torrey gets a TDDespite losing on Sunday, Panthers wideout Torrey Smith nearly doubled his production this season, and nabbed his second touchdown by way of Cam Newton. Smith had five catches in Week 6 against Washington, for 43 yards and a score. Burton gets a score tooIt seems like the Bears are perfectly content targeting tight end Trey Burton in the redzone, and it worked for them again on Sunday against the Dolphins. Burton had just four catches, but went 23 yards and into the endzone, marking his third touchdown in only 15 receptions this season.Worley solidified a starting spotThe Raiders might currently be a dumpster fire Stefen Wisniewski Jersey , but cornerback Daryl Worley has earned his role among the starting lineup after serving his four-game suspension. He essentially took the job from second-year player Gareon Conley, but he made it pretty easy for the coaching staff to decide. In Sunday’s game against the Seahawks, Worley had five total tackles, two pass breakups, and an interception he returned for 16 yards. He made a critical pick on a tipped pass into the endzone, and was able to keep Russel Wilson from putting even more points on the board — at least on that drive.Play of the WeekMarcus JohnsonThe second-year player out of Texas didn’t get much playing time for the Eagles last season, but after a short stint in Seattle, found a good spot for him with the Colts. In just five games with Indianapolis, Johnson has six catches for 102 yards — including five first downs — and on Sunday http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-carson-wentz-jersey , made his first career touchdown catch.Injuries, Inactives and Bye WeeksKicker Caleb Sturgis has a strained quadriceps and wasn’t available for the Chargers this weekend against the Browns. Instead, the team signed Mike Badgley, who could end up competing for the job full-time depending on Sturgis’ return timetable. (Speaking of former Eagles kickers, Cody Parkey missed a 53-yard attempt for the Bears in overtime.)Bennie Logan was inactive for the Titans in Week 6 due to an elbow injury.Quarterback Sam Bradford continues to ride the bench for the Arizona Cardinals. He talked about the weird change in his role with the organization, and how he’s focused on helping the team in other ways. There are just two teams on bye this week, the Detroit Lions (LeGarrette Blount) and New Orleans Saints (Patrick Robinson [IR])
